GROUPS FOR THE OVER 50'S

Coulsdon & District Horticultural Association

For £1.00 per year you can join the Association, enjoy discounted gardening goods from

the store shed in Waddington Avenue and be able to participate in two annual shows.

Coulsdon Floral Arrangement Group

Demonstrations are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 8.00pm in Cameron Hall.

Discounted flower arranging materials and plants can be bought at each meeting.

Frequent coach outings to flower festivals and gardens are also arranged. You can pay

an annual subscription, or you can pay a set fee per meeting you attend. For more

Line Dancing

Sessions are on Mondays between 8.15 and 9.15pm for beginners and cost £3.00.  Improvers are welcome

from the the same start time and continue up until 10.15pm. This session also costs £3.00.

Improvers and beginners are welcome. Country and modern music are featured.

The New Hill Billies

A group of residents who call themselves "The New Hill Billies" have joined together to help preserve and restore the area known as New Hill.

It was bought by the Corporation of London (now known as the City of London again) in 2001. The New Hill Billies are working with the City of London's keepers to keep the area in good condition. It's not all hard work though, and they do have an annual outing and barbecues.

Old Coulsdon Centre for the Retired

On Mondays there is a knitting group, on Tuesdays a bridge club, on Wednesdays a 

keep-fit class, and on Thursdays you can play snooker. Refreshments are served

between 10.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Step Tone and Fun Fitness & Social Club

Parson's Pightle (just past Lacey Green shops on the opposite side of the road)

Tap and line dancing classes, fitness classes for all levels - men and women aged 50+,

60+ and even seated, plus Pilates and Chi-Ball. Monday to Thursday  mornings and

afternoons, plus Saturday mornings.
