CLOC FRIENDS' GROUP

The Christmas Lights in Old Coulsdon Friends Group (CLOCFG) was formed at the beginning of 2016 following talks with the shop keepers on Tudor Parade and many unhappy residents.  Cllr Margaret Bird found out in early December that Old Coulsdon would not be getting Christmas Lights on Tudor Parade due to cutbacks but it was too late  for Christmas 2015.

Residents Associations, shopkeepers , businesses and residents all wanted to be involved in fundraising and we set about raising £2000-£4000 the minimum we believed was needed to light 8 lampposts.

Pennies to pounds rolled in and we have received over £6000 from the generous residents of Old Coulsdon and now have 13 lampposts to decorate on Tudor Parade and another 3 on Lacey Green parade  Each set of lights should last 3-5 years and the dedicated committee from all those emailed chose a design which we hope everyone will enjoy.

Donations can still be handed in to Danny’s Fish & Chip Shop on Tudor Parade  or if you wish to make a direct bank transfer please email clocfg@outlook.com for the Bank details.
